Sian Min The

Sian Min is an avid believer that a mutually trusting and respectful relationship between horse and human is necessary for success.  Building such a relationship requires true two-way communication between horse and rider/trainer, and is the reason Sian Min is dedicated to using SATS (Syn Alia Training System, founded by Kayce Cover) in her horse training approach.

Sian Min's riding and training experience spans over 20 years.  In that time she has trained with the late George Schimpf at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Illinois, and worked as an assistant instructor at Solstice Farms in Texas.

A horse can only perform as well as its rider.  To ensure her own continuous development and education Sian Min attends frequent riding clinics and workshops.  Over the years, she has participated in the USDF Instructor Certification Workshops, acquired SATS Trainer certification, and has ridden in numerous clinics with Heike Goergens, Gerhard Politz, Debbie Bowman, Rachel Saavedra, and Loma Fowler.

Sian Min has shown her pinto gelding Aquarel at Second Level.  In 2001 Aquarel qualified for the Southwest Dressage Championships at First Level.  She is currently preparing her Hanoverian gelding Paparazzi and AQHA mare Bank Chip for the show ring.

While pursuing her passion for horses and dressage, Sian Min has enjoyed successful careers in Molecular Biology and Information Technology Consulting.  Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Rice University, a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
